Cut-Time is seeking teachers who are:

• Reliable
• Organized
• Empathetic yet challenging
• Hold students to high standards musically 
• Knowledgeable in their area of expertise and confident in their ability to teach their instrument and correlating theory
• Committed to teaching proper fundamental techniques on their perspective instrument(s)
• Ability to perform their instrument at concert level
• Holds a Degree in Music/Music Education (preferred)
• Position starting at $40/hour

Perks of teaching in-home lessons:

• Working with students in their "natural habitat" and getting to see where and how they practice, helping make appropriate adjustments without having to guess what is happening during the practice week 
• For larger instruments, students get to have their lesson on the same instrument they practiced on
• Students are more confident to try different skills and make mistakes without the worry of someone judging them
• Parents know more about what they should be hearing during practice without having to directly sit in on lessons

Expectations of Teachers:

• Teach music, music theory, music history and literature to all students
• Prepare weekly lesson plans catered to each individual student with overall objective
• Follow school curriculum guidelines 
• Prepare students for recitals and festivals at concert level
